Diesel is an Italian retail clothing company headquartered in Breganze, Italy. Known around the world today primarily for its denim wear, Diesel was founded in 1978 by Renzo Rosso. Today, Diesel has two different brands: Diesel and Diesel Black Gold, even branching off into children’s clothing and a luxury fragrance line. 

Founder Renzo Rosso’s passion for designing and creating clothes started early on, with his first pieces of work beginning at age fifteen. Since then, he has become a world-famous Italian fashion entrepreneur, referred to as the “Jeans Genius.” Renzo founded Diesel after working in clothing manufacturing for a few years. Planning to combine his knowledge and experience in marketing, creativity, and systems, he pursued Diesel. Since then, Diesel has become an international success, with flagship stores in New York City, San Francisco, Rome, and London.
